Cherry Pound Cake-Recipe

2 sticks of butter
4 large eggs
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 tbs lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups - sifted regular flour
Cream butter, add sugar gradually, add egg one at a time...slowly add flour and salt, add vanilla,and lemon juice. Pour batter into greased 9 x 12 pan. Put cherries on top. Bake at 350 for 45 -50 minutes, or until tootpick inserted in center comes out clean.
